Had the best ice cream at Trailside Dairy in Washington Twp. The portions were huge, and the prices were amazing. Loved the cozy outdoor seating under the big trees and boulders, creating a beautiful park-like setting right behind the shop. Highly recommend this place! Very friendly service!!
The choco taco has always been my absolute favorite ice cream truck treat. Needless to say I was devastated when it was discontinued up until very recently I didn't know that Trailside dairy had a homemade version of this delicious treat that was made to order customized with your favorite flavors and toppings. I finally made the trip out there yesterday for the first time and I'm thrilled that I did. The waffle taco that they serve up was one of the best ice cream treats I've had in a long time delicious chocolate, frozen custard. Wrapped in a freshly made waffle, taco and finished with your choice of mini wonderful toppings. It was fantastic. There's a lot to like about Trailside dairy. First of all the portion sizes were outrageously large of the group of four of us. Most of us brought our food home and we left with ice cream in the freezer to enjoy for the rest of the week. The service is fast and efficient so don't worry if you see a line you'll have a treat in your hand and no time.

So yummy!! I'm wow-ed away at their standard vanilla custard. We'll be back! The Oreo thing was too much, like it weighed about 10 lbs. lol. Next time we'd get the custard and just add Oreo on top :) Also this is a dog friendly place to park and/or sit while you enjoy eating frozen desserts as the sun sets with your furry friend and little ones
